Corndean, Wales Farm B&BBed and Breakfast, Mid Wales Accommodation
Peter and Ghillie welcome you to their charming comfortable home. It is situated in an unspoilt rural location among rolling Welsh border countryside with lovely surrounding views. The area is well known for its beautiful scenery and is very popular amongst walkers and birdwatchers. Being centrally placed and easily accessible from Shrewsbury in 25 minutes, Corndean is an ideal tour base in mid Wales: close to Lake Vyrnwy, Bala Lake, Powys Castle and the Berwyn Mountains and the towns of Welshpool, Newtown, Rhayader and Machynlleth. Corndean is a deceptively spacious country house which was sympathetically extended in 1997 with the original stone and slate cottage understood to date back to the nineteenth century. Guests have their own dining room in which they will delight in a full Welsh breakfast using local produce. Special diets can be catered for. We are also able to offer packed lunches and filled flasks if required. Secure off-road parking is available. Tastefully furnished bedrooms have tea and coffee-making facilities. Iron and ironing board available on request. Only two miles away lies the popular village of Guilsfield which offers a number of amenities including two local inns which serve dinner and bar-food. Corndean is STRICTLY a non smoking establishment. Rooms available from £30 per person per night. Single occupancy of double rooms £38-50. Accommodation includes one double en-suite and one double with private bathroom and toilet. All rooms with washbasins. Two mountain bikes plus safety helmets available for guests to use to explore surrounding countryside. Following successful inspections property also included in The Little Green Book and Country Living Publications 2011 Editions |
